The current was now strong at Nauta and we spent the night moored to a tree. We took the skiff to the town and then explored the market, the town centre and the turtle pond.
We then all boarded a fleet of motocars – the local tuk-tuks – and were shown the town and stopped by a cafe for a drink. The main things for sale in the hardware shops in Nauta seemed to be machetes and propellers for outboard motors!
